I urge you to go to this film that shows working conditions that take us back two centuries. Security rules are flouted. The working conditions are inhumane. It causes violence and suffering. This film is an analysis of the workings that trap the person and devastate everything around her.
I visited a museum on the island “l’Île de la Réunion” that showed working conditions in the late 1700s and early 1800s in a sugar cane factory. The worker who dropped a drop of oil paid for it. Workers were required to adjust the cross of an area where there were jets of steam. They had to figure out when they could pass. Many of them were severely burned and died.
